Maple Bacon just celebrated her first birthday in April and she truly is the sweetest most loved girl. She’s a 12-month-old Labrador Retriever that’s been raised right in the home and it shows in her easygoing affectionate temperament. She’s social loves her people and is the kind of dog that just fits into everyday life.

She’s crate trained, walks decent on a leash and has a solid start on her basic manners. One of our favorite things about her is how much she enjoys her crate—she’ll put herself to bed every night and chooses to nap in there periodically throughout the day.

Back in late February on her very first walk of the year she tweaked her leg and she immediately started showing signs consistent with a knee injury (suspected ACL/CCL). She has been seen by our veterinarian and was placed on crate rest with pain medication (as needed) which she is currently off of and has done well using it when needed. She’s still happy and comfortable overall but this is something that should be evaluated by an orthopedic vet and there is a chance she may need surgical repair down the road.

Because of that we’re looking for the right pet home for her at a very reduced fee. I truly feel she would heal best in a quieter household with a fenced backyard and overall less room to run and roam. She would do best in a calmer companion-style home that can keep her a bit more settled while she heals—something that’s admittedly been tough to manage here because she just wants to be part of everything.

She’s an incredibly special girl and we’re looking for just the right fit where she can be loved supported and set up for long-term success.

Matoskah Meadows Shamokin Red Haze

Our Hazel Grace just had her 3rd birthday in February. She is a beautiful Labrador Retriever looking for a loving companion home. She has a soft, quiet nature and is incredibly easy to live with. Hazel is fully house broken and crate trained and does well on a leash, making her a very low-maintenance addition.

She is friendly and affectionate but not overly demanding. Because of her gentle temperament, we feel she would do best in a quieter household where she can settle in and be someone’s steady, loyal companion. We believe she would love to be with an couple seeking a companion to enjoy walks and car rides with.

She is a special girl who will make a wonderful addition to the right home that appreciates her sweet and easygoing personality. She will need to be spayed (if not already done beforehand here). She is UTD on vaccines. We have chose not to use her in our breeding program as we have her sisters here as well.
